PAINTING
The Painting & Decorators Contractor's
Association (PDCA) voted unanimously at a meeting I spoke at to
take on painting all the interiors of the CASS Vista Colina
Emergency Family Shelter FREE! They donated all the paint and
the labor from eight different companies. (Brian, you may want
to merge this with the text I already wrote about PDCA. See if
it makes sense. I want the companies names listed here.) They
brought out 55 guys for a full day. Roger Adams from Adams
Painting, the President of the PDCA brought out his partner
another day and brought Jim Sharpe from Sharpe Dry Wall to do a
ton of dry wall repairs needed in all the units. Darrell May of
Smith Painting is the one who invited us to talk to PDCA. He
brought out his grill on the back of his truck and PDCA donated
burgers for all the volunteers. Chevy's kicked in chips and
salsa and rice and beans. All 30 apartments, the two-story
offices and the pre-school were painted in one day!
