| A native of Lincoln,
Illinois, a small town on Historic Route 66 in the heart of the
State, Roseann Higgins moved to her first big city and public school,
Sunnyslope High School, in 1974. After freshman year, she spent the summer
with Youth Conservation Corps at the Grand Canyon
working on projects, including installing grills at Mather Campground that
are still there today. She hikes the Grand Canyon every year and relives
that first adventure away from home…and her first kiss. |

| After a modeling class at
Plaza III Modeling & Talent Agency, she traded in the desert and
starvation for the beach and signed up to see the world, courtesy of the
United States Navy. In 17 years active duty and active
reserve time, she had tours in Rota, Spain; New Orleans; Orlando; Panama
City; Pensacola; San Diego; Alameda; Seattle; Bremerton and Washington,
DC. Chief Petty Officer Higgins and later,
Lieutenant Higgins, held a Top Secret Security Clearance and was
selected for high profile assignments, including the Inaugural
Committee for President George H.W. Bush, the Chief of
Naval Operations Staff and the Secretary of Defense
Staff for the 1990 Goodwill Games. |

She
is one of few men or women to earn the Expert Pistol and Expert Rifle
medals and is a graduate of International Morse Code School. Among her
Naval accolades, she’s most proud of being selected Sailor of the Year
and carrying the American Flag in the Navy Memorial Dedication
ceremony.
While attending American University on loan from Mills College, she
was the first person to land an internship on the U.S. House Armed
Services Committee. She graduated with a BA in Political Science from
George Washington University.
She
did a short stint working for the Executive Director of Special
Olympics International and volunteered coaching volleyball three years
with the DC Chapter, even bringing athletes to tour the USS Barry and meet
the Secretary of the Navy and the Chief of Naval Operations.
In
1993, Roseann moved back to Phoenix and lives just a few miles away from
her 87-year-old Dad. A year later, she launched
: Single Professional
Introductions for the Especially Selective. She’s
attended thousands of events, finding Arizona, some of southern
California’s and Denver’s most eligible and private men and women and
introducing them. Inc. magazine recognized her for
her trailblazing marketing methods.
Her
interests always involve people. She’s been active in many charities and
started her own nonprofit, FOR in 2002. Details of its
first $100,000 project renovating an Emergency Family Shelter
are contained under the FOR section of the website.
Roseann is always interviewing new people as a freelance writer for
Phoenix Magazine. Some of her articles are contained
in News Features. By creating a unique niche and
going out to events to find dates for clientele and establishing herself
as a “dating expert,” S.P.I.E.S. has experienced more news coverage than
any other service in Arizona. Many of the stories are found in
News Features.
The
best way to get to know Roseann Higgins is not on paper. She has a
refreshing personality, a quick wit and genuinely cares about people from
the heart. The best way to get to know Roseann is to pick up the telephone
and call.
